The experience with NASP and especially the residency in St.Kitts has been mind blowing. I knew when I started with TAOND that I wanted to specialize in feet. Learning about ingrown nails and the BS Brace to treat them was my first major goal. For this I needed the basic nail tech course so I could take the master pedicurist course. TAOND gave me the knowledge in nails and the skin surrounding the nails as well as common foot care techniques. The master pedicurist course gave me what I needed to know to perform BS brace applications and increased knowledge in pedicures. But as I learned I discovered there is so much more I could do to keep feet and nails health and ready for that pretty polish. My focused turned to preparing case studies and taking additional courses to prepare for the residency program in St.Kitts where I received a bachelor of science in podology.
Part of the program included working in a free clinic performing advanced pedicures. With the advanced pedicure we look at many aspects of the feet and lower leg. The person that took me the longest time had the toes amputated from one foot and a mid foot amputation of the other. Our work on the island reached 855 people in 4 1/2 days. The conditions we where able to see are common on the island as the incidents of diabetes is between 60 and 80% of the population. Also the health care system is such they don't regularly run to the doctor or seek help that may come with a price tag.
Now that I have completed my BScPod I plan to go back and finish my TAOND Derma Care Nail Specialist program. I had completed most of the course before I needed to put most of my time and efforts into the BScPod. The beauty of TAOND meant I could put that part on hold and go back. It may only be the marketing plan I need to finish but I want to be able to review it all.
I love how TAOND allows you to grow in the area you are most interested and at the pace that works for you.
Of course this is just a brief overview of my experience should you wish more details in any area feel free to contact me. Oh and by the way NASP has now introduced a Masters and Phd level. Education is key.

This has been a fabulous course! It is very informative and thorough and learning at my own pace was great since I do have some littles running around at home. I am very excited to start my career in the Nail Industry and just glitter up the world, because nails without glitter are just too naked for me. Like most nail enthusiasts I started out doing my own nails at home, I loved the art of it, I loved the details and designing...I just loved everything about nails. A lot of family and friends started to take notice and would ask me if I was ever going to start doing them professionally, and to be honest I never thought about it. I just graduated from TAOND’s Mini Gel Certificate Course and couldn’t be happier! I have wanted to take a nail enhancement course for almost 20 years, but working full-time didn’t allow me to attend in-person classes. I did some research on online gel certification courses and they were all outside of my budget, until I found TAOND! I researched the school and even called Jennifer personally and she was a great help! I was worried that because I had no experience with nails whatsoever, that perhaps this wasn’t something I should pursue. One chat with Jennifer and that changed my mind. I started my theory portion just before the COVID lockdown of March 2020. I was able to complete the theory portion and then start performing my practical work upon reopening in June. If I struggled or had questions, I would just reach out to my tutor, Brittany, and she would answer me right away with encouraging words and great feedback on all my practical work. I found the detailed feedback exceptionally helpful. I even scheduled three separate tutoring sessions on three different areas I was struggling with (my tip applications, finish filing, and finally getting my timing down to prepare for my final exam). When I got word that I had passed my practical exam, I was unbelievably proud at what I had accomplished! The TAOND staff are the most empowering women I have ever encountered and their success is seeing their students succeed. Thank you Brittany, Jennifer and Christina for everything!

I just wanted to take a quick moment to thank everyone on the TAOND staff. I will put a comment on the website as well, but I wanted to send a personal note as well. I've talked with you both on the phone as well as email and you have both been fantastic. Even though not in a classroom, I felt like the instructors were right there along with me throughout my classes.

As I mentioned to Christina I am now working at a private physiotherapy/massage/chiropractic clinic but I have found the skills I learned so valuable with the job I'm doing now. The anatomy module was so thorough that when I started this new venture in the Health Care system I already had a great grasp on various parts of the body. The module on Decontamination Protocols also proved to be very useful as my Clinic Manager really didn't have a grasp on how important keeping a clean and safe clinic is. So long story short, this course has taught me so much and I appreciate it.

My name is Kathrine Baird I'm a wife and mother of two. I have always had a passion for art and nails but I could never find a school that fit my needs, which was to be able to stay home with the kids and not have to sit in a traditional class it just wouldn't work for me. I went back a forth to TAOND's web site for a year, reading every word they had written on their site, I felt like this was one of those "to good to be true" moments, I mean this was exactly what I have been looking for. I could work at my own pace, which sometimes was very slow because 2 weeks after starting school I was diagnosed with cancer, the school never made me feel like I was anything other than a Rockstar and I was doing exactly what I needed.
I'm not a rich person at all I live a very conservative life style and the fact that could do my courses in payments made everything stress free.
I love everything I have learned from the school they are just as in depth as going to a traditional class and the tutoring at TAOND is incomparable to anything, you are treat with love a respect, I couldn't have asked for a better team on my side.
I 100% recommend TAOND and I plan on taking the master course.

As a qualified but not practicing nail technician I had rediscovered my love of nails and nail art after quite a few years away from the table.
